The Educational Leadership Program (ELP) focuses on preparing educators to lead with integrity and a deep understanding of systemic inequities across PreK–16 systems.
🎯 Role Summary for Program Coordinator
Under the direction of the Director, Associate Director, and Education Manager, the Program Coordinator will manage and execute key administrative, financial, and operational tasks for ELP. This includes scheduling, event coordination, recruitment support, financial oversight, and acting as a liaison between students and academic departments.
📌 Key Responsibilities for Program Coordinator
- Coordinate and manage on-site and virtual events (e.g., meetings, PD workshops, student focus groups)
- Support graduate course scheduling and communication
- Maintain ELP’s online presence via social media and newsletters
- Assist with the program’s financial operations, including invoices and tracking expenses
- Serve as the program liaison to academic personnel and graduate students
- Represent the ELP Director in meetings as needed
- Collaborate with support staff to plan and streamline workflows
✅ Required Qualifications for Program Coordinator
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative, program coordination, or office management experience
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and office systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, and project management tools
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (especially in Education, Public Administration, or Communications)
- Experience using UCLA financial systems (e.g., BruinBuy, TOF, OFSR)
- Familiarity with FileMaker Pro and Mac OS
- Bilingual communication (preferred but not required)
🛡️ Special Conditions
- Must pass a Live Scan and background check before employment
- Must be available to work on-site two days per week and one Saturday per month
- 10% travel required (domestic)
